Today our former broodmare Hera XXX (2010, by Codicioso–MAC & Yedra VIII, c. Kara P.R.E. t. Team Magaliff AB) and her 16 year old rider Lina Källström participated in the Swedish dressage cup "Dressyrallsvenskan", where they won with their team! Their individual score was 65,8 %. Great job!!

This weekend our former broodmare Hera XXX (2010, by Codicioso–MAC & Yedra VIII, bred by Kara P.R.E.) and her 16 year old rider Lina Källström both debuted in elementary–medium level dressage (LA) and were placed 7th of 39 competitors, scoring 67,42 %! This is a great result, as the competition also was part of a Swedish dressage cup "Dressyrallsvenskan", with many experienced riders and horses! Congratulations to Lina, as well as Hera's owner and trainer, dressage rider Nicole Magaliff/Team Magaliff AB!

This weekend Hera XXX participated in two dressage competitions and came in second in both, scoring 68,393 and 67,667 – nicely ridden by young rider Lina Källström! Hera, by Codicioso–MAC & Yedra VIII, is bred by us and owned by dressage rider/trainer/judge Nicole Magaliff/Team Magaliff AB. Hera is dam of Canaria de Kara, Dakar de Kara & Elvira de Kara, all sired by Fer Avellado.

A couple of days ago I got a video from Hera XXX's owner, Team Magaliff, of Hera jumping. Although P.R.E. horses are not know for their jumping skills, she did it with such ease and joy! That is the spirit of a true P.R.E!

Hera XXX and scored 68 % in dressage today, together with her young rider Lina Källström. Hera is sired by Codicioso–MAC & Yedra VIII, and bred by us. Hera is also dam of Canaria de Kara, Dakar de Kara & Elvira de Kara. In 2017 she was sold to Nicole Magaliff/Team Magaliff AB and has started her career as a dressage horse.

In 2018 four foals were born at Kara P.R.E. Three at our branch in Spain, Kara ESP (about which more information is to come), and in Sweden one beautiful daughter of Fer Avellado & Noceda II – Galicia de Kara. In June, Jota CA was rewarded Subcampeona del Concurso in the first official morphologic competition in Sweden since 2015. Even though Jota did not show her amazing movements this time, she received the highest morphology marks of all mares in the competition. Eira and Flama de Kara were sold during the year, and we wish their new owners the best of luck with these promising young ladies!

We have taken the first steps towards establishing our stud in Spain. Today our Spanish branch Kara ESP, together with the Kara ESP brand, was registered with ANCCE!

Jota CA (sired by Remache XIII & Kioskera RAM, bred by Yeguada Candas) was rewarded the title Subcampeona del Concurso in the official ANCCE competition 'I Feria del Caballo P.R.E.' She got a final note of 69,020, and the competitions second highest morphology mark, despite lack of training after her last foal was weaned earlier this year. Even though she did not have the strength to show her amazing movements this time, she behaved like a star during the entire competition. We are so proud of her!

Lovely Eira (born in 2016 by Fer Avellado & Noceda II) passed a complete vet exam without one single remark today (besides, the vet was very impressed by her behavior), and is now sold. We wish her new owner Caroline Matscheko the best of luck with this beautiful and very promising filly!

In 2017 Fuego de Kara and Flama de Kara were born, and Hera XXX and Dakar de Kara were both sold to highly skilled and ambitious dressage riders/trainers; Nicole Magaliff (Hera) & Renée Knutson (Dakar). In July, Fer Avellado went to Spain to train with one of the best, David Marín Risco – and we took our first step towards establishing part of our stud in Spain. More information to come...

Darío de Kara (Fer Avellado & Noceda II) is now two years old, and has grown in to a beautiful colt. We believe that the best for young horses is to be held loose out in the fields, together with other youngsters. This is certainly the case for colts, as they like to play in a much rougher and more physical way than fillies.

Up until two months ago, Hera had only been a broodmare and never even had a saddle on. But as the P.R.E. she is, she takes new challenges with curiosity and ease. New owner Nicole Magaliff and her team are making an excellent job with Hera!

Our excellent broodmare Noceda II (Nero II & Uceda) was today confirmed 36 days pregnant with Fer Avellado! If everything goes like we hope for, the foal will be born around mid May 2018. This will be the only foal at Kara P.R.E. next year, as Jota CA is having a year off breeding to get started under saddle.
